COVID-19 Safety
You must understand that before Covid 19 our dental practice was extremely safe as we already were protecting everyone from other viruses and infections.
Right at the start of lockdown Dr Donnelly was sourcing the gold standard safety equipment for our staff to wear. They use respirators and hoods so they are kept comfortable a cool as well as being safe.
We invested in the air filtration system – Viruskiller – which is in each surgery – this helps with the throughput of air. Increasing air changes per hour.
The piece de resistance is the air extraction system that has been installed in each surgery. This takes away any aerosol directly to the outside. This makes out surgeries exceptionally safe.
Of course the surgeries are cleaned between patients and we have fogging machines to use to make sure we are not missing anything.
We ask our patients to wear a mask to enter the building and we have hands free sanitiser in reception. We have boxes for patients to put handbags and coats in so nothing extra is taken into the treatment rooms to avoid contaminaton.

Appointments
Now we are open after the Coronavirus lockdown we have had to incorporate many changes in our working practice. These are very different to normal but they are to keep you and us safe. You will have received your text with the medical history attached, please fill this in and submit so that it will go straight onto your dental record. If you have an I-Phone it should be straightforward
If you have an Android you need to tap on the 2020 at the top of the page and it will enable you to insert your date of birth and carry on to the medical history form.
This is very new to us so if you have any issues please call us as soon as possible so that we can help,
a. Arrive at the practice on time – please do not be early/late
b. Please arrive wearing your mask into the building
c. Knock on the front door to let us know you are here. We will bring you in when reception is available
d. Please use the hand sanitiser on desk
e. You will be told which surgery to go to
f. Dentist/Hygienist and nurse will be in hoods and respirators and be fully gowned up
g. Take off your mask and put in the plastic bag (provided in the surgery) when you are in the dentist chair
h. When treatment is complete put your mask back on keep on until you leave the building
i. Only the treatment booked can be done on that day
j. If booked for an exam you will need to come back for further treatment as we will not be set up for other treatments
k. If possible use the toilet at home
I. Please bring minimum belongings – coat or handbag as these cannot be taken into the surgery

b. We will call you to make your next appointment
c. Due to the changes in how we now have to operate we respectfully ask that you give us 48 hours notice if you cannot attend or the full charge will be made for the appointment
