Clear Aligners – Basically Invisible Braces!

Invisalign®, sometimes known as invisible braces or clear aligners, is proving incredibly popular with teenagers and adults thanks to their subtle and discreet nature. Most people will never even realise that you are wearing Invisalign® aligners unless you point it out to them!

With Invisalign®’s clear aligners, the medical-grade thermoplastic material is designed to be translucent. While they aren’t 100% clear, you can see your teeth through them – from a distance or even at face to face level, they are more discreet than traditional train track braces.

Not only are the Invisalign®’s treatment aligners incredibly discreet and hard to spot, but as the aligners are manufactured to your specifications and designed bespoke for you, they will fit comfortably and snug in your mouth, making them even hard to spot!

No Food Or Drink Restrictions

If you have ever had traditional braces or know people who have, you know that certain foods and train track braces do not go hand in hand. Traditional brace wearers have to be incredibly careful about the types of food they consume.

With traditional braces, the wire and brackets are glued to the patient’s teeth, making it easy for food particles to get stuck behind the braces and between the food. Sticky, tough or hard foods could get stuck or even damage the brace causing pain, discomfort or elongating your treatment.

With Invisalign® treatment, no foods are off limits as you can easily remove your clear aligners and enjoy any tasty treat you like!

Fix Dental Problems

Invisalign® clear aligners from our experienced Banbury dental team can help to treat a wide range of orthodontic conditions, including:

Misaligned or crooked teeth

Where your teeth are not aligned properly or how you would like, Invisliagn® can help to straighten your teeth, moving the teeth with gently applied pressure to create your desired look.

Overcrowded teeth

Where a patient’s teeth are forced into a small space, causing them to become scrunched together or crooked. Overcrowding can cause your teeth to misalign, which Invisalign® treatment can help to improve or move.

Overbite

When your front teeth extend beyond your bottom teeth, while most people may have a slight overbite, a severe overbite can cause your teeth to protrude past your lips and even cause additional issues such as decay, jaw pain or gum disease. Invisalign® clear aligners can help to shift your teeth backwards, depending on the severity.

Underbite

Similar to an overbite, an underbite is when your lower teeth extend past your upper teeth, the lower jaw will rest in front of the upper when the mouth is closed. If untreated an underbite can cause your teeth to wear and puts pressure on your jaw joints.

Crossbite

When your upper and lower teeth misalign when your mouth is closed. With some of the top teeth and the bottom teeth overlapping.

Open bite

When your mouth is closed, your teeth do not touch, meaning that your teeth are improperly aligned when the mouth is closed. Some people who suffer from jaw joint problems such as TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder) suffer from an open bite.

Depending on the severity of your condition will depend on the length of your Invisalign® course.

Save Time With Invisalign®

Life is busy. Here at 41 South Bar, Banbury, we understand that not everyone has the time available to attend regular orthodontic appointments for brace maintenance or wants to have braces for multiple years.

Depending on the severity of your teeth, Invisalign® treatment can be significantly quicker than traditional braces. Please note that we recommend wearing your Invisalign® aligners up to 22 hours a day. Wearing them less may extend your treatment times.
